Everyone says the person who leaves cares less.
I don't think that's always true.
Sometimes staying is easy.
Sometimes leaving is harder.
Because leaving means accepting that love alone isn't enough.
It means walking away from someone you still care about because the relationship is slowly destroying both of you.
The one who got left carries the pain of abandonment.
But the one who leaves carries the guilt.
And guilt can last much longer than heartbreak.
So maybe the question isn't who suffered more.
Maybe it's this:
Who cried when nobody was watching?
