To every survivor who was told
they were too sensitive, too difficult,
or impossible to love:
Abusers lie to protect themselves,
not to tell the truth about you.
They say:
"You made me do this."
"You're crazy."
"No one else will love you."
"It wasn't that bad."
But abuse is never your fault.
Confusion is not weakness.
And love should never require fear,
silence, or shrinking yourself to survive.
What happened to you matters.
Your pain is real.
And despite everything they told you,
you are worthy of safety, honesty, and love.
With care,
Someone who believes you
