When I try to scream make no sound

It wakes me from the dead of sleep
There's a tear that I can't swallow
There's a pain that just won't leave
There's an emptiness inside
A heavy void that I can't fill
There is no special magic cure
There is no special magic pill
It's waking up in tears
In the middle of the night
It's feeling full of fear
In the dark without the light
I can't seem to find relief
I don't know that it will ever go away
It's even in my dreams
I wonder how long it's here to stay
