And the corporate cockroaches
All pointing in every direction.
Until we become like cartoons
Straight-jacketed by belief systems.
The daily news pundits
Strangle one another for ratings
Leaving us brain dead and drooling for more.

Our leader walks into rooms
As if it were high noon
And the party members on the hill
Are all jockying for the best position
On the beauracratic totem pole.
We are a nation divided by fools.
By the decisions of a select few.
As the voices of reason
Become whispers, barely audible
Amongst the scream and shouts
Of the unstoppable machine
And we are all
