Darkness is falling on my room

As I close the book on another chapter

Of a book I'll never finish

I look out at the sky

And whisper a name

I haven't thought of

Since light last passed by my heart

No more I love you's

I say to myself

You're gone, in my past

To a place I'll never be

And where I love you's

No longer matter.
