I killed you years ago
Shutting you deep into the depths
Of a heart so black
Even She couldn't see to the bottom of it.
Your existence was celebrated
While mine, fell to the curb-side
I had to murder you to survive
From being suffocated
Under the weight of your shadow.
I buried you, dead and gone
In the hopes of never seeing you once more
But these memories in my heart
Have dredged you up
From the nothingness that I am.
So now, oh feared beast
You come once again to kill me
Craving the blood you tasted years ago
Knowing it won't take long
To extinguish this bitter flame.
