We were introduced, you looked away
You didn’t give me a chance
Months later, you realized you could trust me
We became friends
Years of friendship, we became close
I moved away, unknowingly you followed
Friendship turned into so much more
We became best of friends…
This turned into love
We were happy
A few more years,
Our love faded
It turned into a façade
We loved each other,
But no longer in love
We remained best of friends
This regressed to friendship
We stand in front of each other
Gazing into each others eyes
Then you looked away once more
