As we stand here walking hand in hand through the mall, people stare and point fingers.We're just friends you and I , but for today lets be lovers, not to gain attention, but acceptance for others who love differently.Guys watch us closely and shout obscenities towards me like " ey girl you need dick in your life", I flip them two birds like, "Nah homie I like the way my girl do it".So hug my waist ma, and lets stand next to the two boys kissing, lets start a revolution.Some people say its a phase, just something I'm going through, some just chose to put labels on us.Gay, bisexual, lesbian, fag, homo, dike , but really I'm just a new age minority part of the culture that loves differently.So as we stand here walking hand in hand people point, stare, and shout obscenities, but still I'll stand here and fight for my cause with the courage of Dr.King vowing that "We shall overcome", and I'll wear my rainbow flag on my wrist and represent for those who love differently.We're just friends you and I , but for today lets be as one and smile at one another and make headlines "Teenage girls stand up for Gay Pride".So do not hate me or judge me, because I love differently.Hypocrites like you sin on saturday and in the church on sunday,so how can you judge me? No matter how much "spiritual cleansing" and how many times I attend church to hear people preach about my sexuality being some sort of disease, when I wake up in the morning I'm still gonna be me.So I won't chose to hide anymore and pull down my sleeves to cover my flag.Instead I'll show pride for those who love differently.
To gain knowledge and wisdom within reach we must first overcome ignorance and have acceptance.
