A teardrop across a paper,
Smudging the black ink,
Makes the words written less important than visual.
A teardrop upon a pillow,
A tear that gives the definition of,
Having cried to sleep.
A teardrop falling through space,
As lonely as the one who shed it,
Ignored and having fallen from the face.
A teardrop across a cheek,
A mere drop of salt water,
Played as a pawn to gravity.
A teardrop in an eye,
The one that is desperately crying to be let out,
But the one that never comes.
