"The Parable Of The Great & Terrible Fisherman"

"The Parable Of The Great & Terrible Fisherman"

On a certain day two men set out to fish a great sea. The first sought the counsel of other fishermen and gathered provisions enough for one day's journey and left shore. The second man, sensing the direction of the wind, stepped without haste into his boat and cast off to follow it. Now the first fisherman arrived exactly at the place where many other men had caught many a prized fish and cast his net into the blue waters. A short time later he pulled up a large fish, using all his might, which was the length of his arms. In his joy he tossed the fish onto the deck of the boat and returned to shore to show off his catch to the other fishermen. The second man's boat was guided by the waves to the deepest part of the sea, where no great word or tale had ever come from, and came to rest. There he cast his net and waited in silence. As he sat watching, a great roar erupted from the dark waters beneath and a whale, larger than the one Jonah found, swallowed the man and his boat whole, and then returned into the deep. I tell you this, no man can know the Father or Me unless he is completely consumed by Our Love. And no man can hold love captive and expect to become anything but a man, for wherever one seeks, one shall find either the humility of life or the death of pride, where one becomes all and two become none. Pay attention!!!! Those who have hearts, must love and those who have tongues must remain still.
