The peaceful silence of the midnight hour
Suddenly shattered witha deafening call,
As the Lost One cries out to his mother.
Tears fall from cheeks to the ground below
In sorrow, fear, and determination to find her again.
He won't give up this easily.
Then, like a beacon of hope, a light streaks across the sky.
It is calling out to him from above,
Letting him know that he is not alone.
Grasping the tendrils of gray hair that his mother hangs down,
Seeing the way by the light she provides,
The Lost One comes home, tears halting, cries ceasing.
