Dionysus

I can feel a swell of judgment

And I can feel your stares

Carry on thy conversations

While I carry on my way

I'll taste no liquor, I'll pass the time

On boring days I'll cry for laughter

I'll thank the God of maddening wines

And deliver my sad self to no one

These pardons made for political gains

If the law could even serve

I'll stand beside my fellow man

Before I devour their entirety

I will not be so staunch and wired

I declare my flow upheld

A flower that can release the soul

Will come to rise in power

And I'll consume it, by the pound

Dragging me through roads of ire

I'll express my doubts and shout about

All these great injustices

Finales set I will not be,

Accepted or beloved

But I can find the truest way

To end this world's corruption

And no one will listen, and no one will care

And no one will ever bother

And I will pass to another chamber

With a rose between my lips.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I don't even drink, man.
