Confusion Has Set In
I’m so confused
Lost inside myself
Fear of something
But not knowing
What it is
I’m afraid of something
My heart feels hurt
Seemingly things out of place
Words don’t make sense
As I sit stricken
I don’t know what to do
Confusion has set in
Uncomfortable that I am
I cannot find faith
In what appears before me
I seem not to trust
Especially in myself
I don’t know what it is
That is terrifying me
Beyond a comfortable point
Maybe tomorrow will bring peace
At least a little of something
May people give me a break
At whatever they are expecting
And calm my confusion down
