You were such a good friend, such a big high,

you always produced a smile without even a try,

thank God i don't see you, can't be the same,

apparently a month in a new country can change,

i lost everything or so it felt,

already won my gold medals, now i'm just Phelps,

i left those bars in the city, i could have stayed,

but i was too afraid i'd just get in the way,

never think i will see you again,

yet we still pretend and text like friends,

since i texted you late saying i miss you,

i won't pretend anymore, it's official,

i'll get over you now, i'll stay sober,

then i'll find the right girl and smile like Hova,

cause over his shoulder you'll always find,

the great girl that keeps positivity in his mind.
