If i could play a few chords to make you fall in love,

i would have long ago learned it, would it be enough?

or do you need a boy to lie what i spoke true?

a boy to try and make you feel better about you,

if i could write a sentence to bring you back,

i would have only written that over and over, fact,

like Bart writing on the chalk board, i'd write novels,

if that would make you jump in your car and hit the throttle,

if i could speak a few words to make you miss me,

i'd go mute until i could say them to you swiftly,

and if you disappeared i'd never utter any other words,

until you came back to the warm like migrating birds,

if i could send a tet, so perfect it'd make

you rethink your decision as a big mistake,

i would already have you by my side, in my handle,

in your care, you shine brighter than any candle.
