our level of nice isn't on the same level i regret,
to me you're a sky scraper, to you i'm an insect,
no apologies will ever mask the surprise while on the phone,
maybe you should've checked that you were actually alone,
before you began complaining to me on my throne,
now i groan cause you were the girl all along,
no apologies will make up for the shrinking of our calls,
i knew what you would do to me, i wrote about the falls,
should've just stayed a clam locked away behind my walls,
and never been curious enough about you to leave my halls,
no apologies from you just pretend i don't hold grudges,
for you no tear will be shed in New York, ink smudges,
you used to tell me everything and anything, no judges,
now your distance stacked on our distance gave me crutches.
