I hugged her all the time

I walked with her all day

I looked into her eyes

And got lost within the gaze



She’d see me after school

She’d run up and smile

She always hugged me tightly

But I guess that’s just her style



I fell in love with her

And wrote many notes and songs

I thought there’d be a happy ending

But once again I was wrong



Early September

Everything feels strange

I talk to her online

And that’s when it changed



I asked her a question

"Always just friends?"

She said yeah

And that’s where it ends



I hugged her less and less

And found nothing in her eyes

It wouldn’t have hurt this bad

If I didn’t tell my self lies



We just became friends

Then grew far apart

I guess every bad ending

Has a great start
