Through the equal life and fair belief act, religious texts and artifacts were banned from public sale; no stores were allowed the offering of spiritual goods and services. The speaking out of religion in public places was outlawed; anyone caught speaking out was arrested and sent to reeducation camps for mental rehabilitation in the name of public safety and for the good of society. All holy places of worship were forced closed under the act, and those who refused were forced by the hand of the military. No belief would be left untouched, no system of religion would be safe from the new laws that were set in place. The eyes and ears of technology watched and listened from every corner; the fear and paranoia of the neighbor, the voice of control, imbedded within the heart of society, kept those in line, who might rebel against the law.
