You know,
As you go on through life,
Things get taken from you.
But,
You seem to only learn that
When you start loosing stuff...
And then,
Here comes that old cliche
Moseying on down the way,
Saying,
"You don't know what you've got
Until it's gone"
What I think in my own opinion
Is that people don't understand
The truth.
Behind,
Within,
And at the beginning
Of that statement...
Because what happens,
At the end of a life,
Is, too many regrets.
And in knowing that,
You would think we, as people,
Would make better decisions...
But instead,
We allow the fear of knowing
The truth.
To govern our existence -
But,
What people don't realize,
Is that
We are all human.
And we all.
Have the world on our shoulders...
So,
My advice,
As I can only give it
From one human being to the next.
Is that
No, one person, has it worse
Than another.
We ALL have it "bad."
Just in different ways.
However,
What helps the bad,
By creating more good.
Is recognizing the
Humanism
IN ALL OF US!
And using that recognition
To allow forgiveness.
Because you yourself
Have made your own mistakes...
This consequently gives you
The wherewithal
To forgive
The Father or Mother
That was never there,
Or the Father or Mother that beat you,
Never said "I love you"
Or made you feel unwanted...
Because they only did what
They knew, know, felt
And feel at the time.
And knowing that, you will realize,
That you have every right
To point out their wrongs
In your own opinion.
And they have every right
As a human being
To know their mistakes.
Such a recognition and nurturing of another's
Humanity,
Rather than the abandonment of such,
Blossoms, into so many greater things.
And it may take every ounce
Of confidence you have.
And you may not really know what to say.
But if you get there,
The words will find you.
And things will go
The way they will.
You have every right to be wrong,
And more importantly
You have every right to know
When you're wrong,
So that you have the chance,
Before it's all over...
To make wrong, right -
Now,
I have my regrets,
But not enough
That, it's worth mentioning.
And,
Although it pains me,
Nurturing the humanity
In those around me.
I know that in my future
Are better days.
Because I know.
That if I'm gonna have
Any life
Anymore.
Then that's the way I need to be.
Because,
That is what I deserve -
As a human being.
