First dance

You were mine

Only for a moment

The world was right

Nothing could change

Then it did

I’ll never forget

You slipped away

Out of my reach

The more I tried to bring you back

The more you ran away

Slowly my feelings began to fade

We had gone our separate ways

Nothing would ever be the same again

I miss you now

But only for a moment

The world is right
