And I stood

     within a dream

watching children

     going to him

smiling happily

     without fear

gather quietly

     all about him

and each one

     by name he calls

and talk to them

     blessing them every one

then he stood

     and walked away

and I watched

     longingly

like a child

     to be called

and without

     fear to go
