In the dark of night,

the mind wander in odd ways,

sounds become unreal,

and frightening,

that in the daytime are not,

in the darkness,

seem things which are harmful,

that we know are not there,

only in light,

are we safe,

in darkness,

is the terror,

so in the night,

we go in hiding,

to hide from that,

which is only in,

the mind.
