I am glad I met you.
For you have my heart exposed.
I built up my walls for protection.
From past fears.
From this cruel heartless world.
For I have been hurt by this world.
At first I was scared of you,
That you would make me relive my fears.
I did not want to be exposed.
I shut off my emotions for protection
For they were cold like castle walls.
Colorless like unpainted walls
I was in my own world.
Solemn protection.
I shut my self off from you,
To not be exposed,
To run from my fears.
But you helped me face my fears.
For you, I tore down my walls.
I was vulnerably exposed.
For you showed me a new world.
I found new life, in you.
You offered me protection.
For you, I promised protection.
I promised to fight your fears.
All this, for you.
I let you in my walls.
I want to share with you my world.
I want to have your heart exposed.
Together we have our love exposed.
Providing each other protection.
For you and I we share this world.
We protect each other from fears.
Together we joined our walls.
