There Are Chapters Yet To Come

There were days

I carried more than I thought

a heart could hold.

Nights when courage

was nothing more

than making it to morning.

I have smiled while hurting,

walked while weary,

and kept believing

when belief was barely

a whisper.

And somehow,

I am still here.

Perhaps courage

was never about being strong.

Perhaps it is simply

the quiet decision to begin again,

with tired hands,

an uncertain heart,

and one small thread of faith.

Because there are still

prayers waiting for their answer.

Dreams I have yet to touch.

Sunrises I have not seen.

People I have not met.

Laughter I have not heard.

And chapters of my life

that have not yet

been written.

So when the road feels endless

and my strength grows thin,

I will remember,

I did not come this far

only to come this far.

There is still life

waiting for me.

And tomorrow may be carrying

something beautiful

I cannot yet see.
