What the Heart Was Never Meant to Carry

There comes a time

when the soul grows tired

not from the miles it has travelled,

but from the weight

it was never meant to carry.

Other people's opinions.

Yesterday's regrets.

Tomorrow's imagined storms.

Old conversations replayed at midnight,

and fears belonging to days

that have not even arrived.

Put them down.

You do not have to carry

every stone the world places in your hands.

Let some things leave without explanation.

Let some doors close

without needing to know why.

Let the winds take

what no longer belongs

in the sacred rooms of your heart.

For life becomes lighter

when we stop confusing holding on

with strength.

Even the trees understand this.

They release their leaves

when the season asks,

trusting that letting go

does not mean losing everything.

And look at the flower,

rising through broken earth,

asking no permission to bloom,

carrying neither yesterday's darkness

nor tomorrow's uncertainty.

Only light. Only this moment.

Only the quiet courage to become.

Perhaps freedom is not found

in gathering more, but in discovering

how little the soul truly needs

to be at peace.

So loosen your hands.

Release what has finished.

Forgive what cannot be changed.

And leave tomorrow

where it belongs, in tomorrow.

Then walk gently forward,

lighter than before,

carrying only what deserves

the precious weight of your heart.
