Stood up not for herself
But for the life
Growing within
"We're having a baby!"
This life growing inside
He did not want
He did not care
"Get rid of it."
She cried.
But she did not
Instead she vowed
She would be responsible
For the expenses
This child endowed
She promised this man
Her husband- of shame
Their child would not intefer
In his life
Or his games
Though they were married
For years still to come
He a single self centered man
And she- in retrospect
A single mom.
