In the light so blinding,
Pay attention to the things that you are finding.
The truth of the matter is you cant hide,
by these rules we've all got to abide.
In the light so cleansing,
hatred washed away, sins cleaned.
Bloody hands are scrubbed and the fog of guilt is burnt off.
In the light so tempting,
Everythings good,
good intentions, good feelings.
No need to watch your back,
No need to wonder who next will betray you.
No need, in this light, to guard your emotions,
In this light, no need to put up these walls.
In this light, no need to wear a mask.
This is the light to you,
This is what I see from the outside.
Always on the edge, darkness over my eyes, I can just see the light.
Always there, never fair.
Always there, never here.
Always away, these are my dues,
Now i suppose i have to pay.
Be wary friend, every minute taken is one minute closer to the end,
Every footstep in the light is one closer to the darkness.
