growing up they weren’t there
they never had been she had
barely
known
them they were around
but not there for her
when
she had
needed
them

she was born into a family where
she was an only child she had no
one to                  turn to
in her                 times of
need                   mother
father  they weren’t around much
they had more  important  things
to do                   father
just                   wasn’t
ready                  to be a
father                   mother
would                   rather

Party                  versus
Take care      of her own
Daughter in her eyes boyfriends
and parties were more important
Than her      own    off-spring
the young             Child did
have one                Pair of
people                  of whom
willing                took her
her under           their wings

raising
her as
their
very own
daughter
there were
her great
grandma
and
grandpa
they would
raise her

as their
very own
daughter
they loved
and were
there for
her when-
ever she
needed it the most she could
always go to them no matter

what           her
problem      had been
she knew    she could
always go to her them
      her gramma
      and granpa
       whenever
       he needed
       them for
       these are
       her only
        family
