Within the tight circle of your arms-

Safe and protected at last!



The strong even beat

Of your thrumming heart against my face

Assures me danger has passed.



If only, only,

This sweet moment could last forever-

If only it really could!



I drink in the bliss,

Assuage my voracious, raging thirst

Assured  that now life is good.
