I find that when I wander
Along the lonely lake shore
Questions arise to plague me;
Answering one creates more
But meandering this way
Fulfills some deep simple need.
As voices clamour in me
I have a chance to give heed.
Sometimes they are most profound
Other times they are quite trite.
Answers pop into my head
With no thought of wrong or right.
Though I amble aimlessly
My steps seem almost guided.
It's between myself and God
That these thoughts are confided.
I find that when I wander
Along the lonely lake shore
Life's problems are minimized
As there are answers galore.
