In the US internet costs are 3 to 5 times as much as in Britain and France while internet speed is lower than in several countries. Japan gives the highest internet speed in the world. Verizon, Time Warner, ATT, Comcast are some of the ripoff corporations taking exorbitant profit, not only with the internet but cellphones and other phones.
The FCC and the 3 branches of government support this larceny. Besides being pawns of corporations, the government does not like to
support inexpensive communication which facilitates populist organizing.
