VIOLENCE OF USING ANIMALS AS BAIT
Footage of the Indian hunt for a tigress who had killed 10 human beings showed a calf tied as bait to a tree.
The government of India has outlawed the murder of cows in most of its states.
The tying of a living calf as bait to a tree violates that law. The tying of any animal as bait to
a confining tree or pole violates ahimsa, the philosophy of universal nonviolence,
which permeates the teachings of all avatars of India, of the Buddha, of Mahavira,
founder of the Jains, of Guru Nanak, founder of the Sikhs, of Jesus who traveled in India
in the years in which legend says that Christ was helping his father as a carpenter, of Isaiah.
