one of the most charismatic, were subjected to black ops by their foes because they hate war & violence.
Chris Matthews, former speechwriter for Carter, reported that
When Jimmy Carter decided to run for president he ran a clean campaign and neither he nor Gerald Ford said a negative thing about each other. One of his first actions said Matthews was giving amnesty to all draft resisters who went to Canada. He sold the presidential yacht and stopped the singing of the imperial "Hail to the Chief." He and Rosalynn were the first presidential couple in 70 year to send their child to a public school. Carter has always been a worker for peace and worked for Egyptian and Israeli peace, bringing Anwar Sadat of Egypt and Menachem Begin of Israel to Camp David Begin had
told Israelis he would never give up settlements but Carter kept working and the Camp David Accords were achieved, for which he many years later receive the Nobel Prize.
Carter was the victim of the treason of G H W Bush who as a private citizen on 3/12/80
negotiated with Iran to keep US hostages in jail until the November election, in return for the sale of arms to Iran. In addition Oliver North, Bush operative, worked to sabotage the rescue helicopters Carter sent.
Bush with his oil contacts in the MidEast was able to constrict oil to the US, resulting in gas shortages which made millions angry.
After the loss of his election, President Carter founded Carter Center as a place of peacemaking. Matthews reported that Carter & his team won more than 100 open elections in other countries. He stopped a military invasion of Haiti & stopped a nuclear standoff between the US & N Korea.
He worked as a human rights activist. He won Nobel Peace Prize.

At age 94, Carter is cancer free He preaches at his church, teaches at a university, and has authored dozens of books.
He appointed more women judges than all his competitors combined. During his 4 years not a single shot was fired in
anger by US forces.
Because of Carter's 50 or more years of advocacy for the rights of Palestinians he is
seldom in corporate media's news. In the area of animals, an animal rights activist stood in Carter's presidentail years near the church he attened on 16th St one Sunday with a sign "Carter Kills Quail". He saw the sign. The activist never again saw a picture of him with a rifle in his hand.
