A Coney Island laugh track recording for the absurdly low statistics on food poisoning deaths annually in the US given by the CDC, which allegedly used only lab documented cases. These statistics were parroted by the FDA chief in a Senate hearing.

Under Ronald Reagan, meat inspection line speeds were doubled. Tumors the size of a grapefruit on meat cuts were ok'd.

At least 76 million cases of food poisoning annually occur.  97% of all deaths are caused by meat, fish and eggs.  Meat and fish are cadavers whose rate of decay is only stopped by freezing. Even then creiophilic bacteria grow in the freezer.  Thermophilic bacteria survive boiling.

The USDA has quietly been allowing chicken slaughterhouses to do their own inspection.

  and can't remember where he was on the night in question." Amnesic shellfish poisoning is most common
  in the Pacific Northwest. The unfortunate consumer of the bad shellfish will first experience "normal"
  symptoms of seafood poisoning, but may soon become confused, disoriented and even comatose. The cognitive damage is permanent,
  affecting short-term memory and even causing dementia.

      When you think of seafood sickness in general, you probably imagine something much like
  diarrheal shellfish poisoning. It's the old-fashioned, one-day kind, and the preferred form
  among shellfish connoisseurs. It plays all the popular hits: vomiting, abdominal pain, date-ending diarrhea.

II Senator Elizabeth Warren On Antibiotic Resistance

Senator Eliz Warren reported that there are 30 million pounds of antibiotics given annually to animals bound for slaughter, making many Americans resistant to these antibiotics. Others report the FDA chief is doing virtually nothing about this problem.

III Hearken To Harkin On Opioids And Zohydro

Senator Tom Harkin said in a hearing at a Senate committee he chairs that there
are now 240 million some prescriptions for opioids such as Oxycontin, Tylenol with Codeine, Percodan, Percocet, Demerol, Robitussin A-C written annually. Deaths from these opioids outweigh deaths from heroin and all other illegal drug use he reported. Others report the FDA is not limiting these prescriptions.

He also questioned the FDA chief on Zohydro, an opiate much stronger than
any existing painkiller, and one which was voted down 11 to 2 by an FDA
advisory panel, yet approved by the drug company dominated FDA.
