the breeze shows that october's maple leaves are not
just crimson... but underneath pink... as the world's
prayers for mercy for seals... reach critical mass

FLYBOYS ARE NOT GLAMOROUS

Hollywood as in the movie Darling Lily... painted flyboys
as glamorous heroes... as they dropped bomb ovals of fire
onto old men, baby girls, rabbits in burrows, birds in trees

WRONG ADVICE

George Bush says he prayed about Iraq. Unfortunately the voice he heard
was not God the Father's but that of George Bush's father.

BRITISH PUBLIC SAID

No British baby boys in Baghdad bodybagged
for bullion for BP billionaires

EARTHLY GREEN

the sky palate: grey and white storm clouds,
aqua and bright blue sky... sunrise colors
of saffron, lavender,
pink, rose and aqua blue
but for healing green one
must look to earth hues

Jesus walked on water
and turned it into wine
The sun wands rainwater
to make it grapejuice thine

He would tread not on acorns
that oak woods be born
nor on a child's feelings
that sapling hearts
continue to grow

THE SUN DOESN"T CRITICIZE

how did the Almighty
without breaking their pink skins
put the hard pit within each peach
Never does His sun with
charges of laziness them impeach
nor does His rain criticize
nor to them preach

KEEPING WARM
*
More dense is water of 33 degrees
than that of 63 degrees
So does spirit flow more easily
in those who've been kept warm

DEFROCKED
*
the minister had been from
her church defrocked
because she'd given communion
to her animal flock
