TWO SCORE AND SOME YEARS
It is two score and seven years
since our nation shed tears.

When 2 black garbage collectors
were killed in their machine, Memphis
workers struck. Dr King was invited
to Memphis and there was struck
down by the government-hired
James Earl Ray who like Lee Harvey
Oswald was a patsy.

Winter made
snowcapped mountains
snowcaped.

all the bait.

Fish are at the top of the ocean food chain, eating all the insecticides, chemical poisons, radiation, etc. that their littler victims ate. Meat is at the top of the land food chain. A 1,000 pound cow retains all the nonbiodegradable insecticides she ate before her murder. The average number of food pounds is 21,000.

In silently slides
a special neap tide
when neptune
joins the moon.

A dream of a friend
who had an apartment

felt that if the window broke
the apartment could not
be lived in.
Awakening it seemed
the apartment was the soul
of the person.... who could

THE LIBERATION OF AARON ROSEN
Aaron the snowflake
began to melt
and slide down
the leaf... but on
his journey he
was stopped in
his tracks by a frost.
Aaron Rosen

Time went by.

truly melted
The sun shone

YAWNING AND STRETCHING
Spring.... Mother Earth
yawns and stretches
and then tosses off
her winter covers
as she prepares for
her bright sun lover

A LITANY OF PORTALS TO TRANCE
Someone who questioned the self realized master Nisargadatta Maharaj
spoke of being able to achieve a trance or samadhi-like state through alcohol, marijuana,
a high fever, LSD or other drug, breath exercises, music, shaking, (the origin
of which is the Sanskrit word shakti which means energy), dancing, dizziness
through whirling, praying, sexual activity, fasting, or mantras, (to which list running or other
strenuous exercise, hypnosis, and meditation could be added). But, said the questioner, the experience
always faded. It was not permanent.
Maharaj subsequently replied that when the questioner was willing to forego comfort
for the discipline of the path, he would find permanent ecstasy.
