MEAT AND THE CRUELTY OF ANIMAL MURDER
Animal flesh is the most cruelly derived food, involving the murder of sentient cows, sheep, pigs etc.
Chickens suffer too when killed. Fishes fight the suffocation and suffering. Many eggs and dairy products
are from animals held as slaves in factory farms. Fruit does not require the killing of plants. Vines
gift their food.
MEAT AND DEPRESSION AND MENTAL ILLNESS
One Russian hospital, perhaps in tradition of
vegetarian Leo Tolstoy, treated mental illness with veg diet (vegan diet not gaining many adherents in the first half of 20th century). Animals terrified during
slaughter secrete massive amounts of adrenaline which
saturates flesh.  Only some of the link of adrenaline are broken up by
cooking. Enough remain intact that the fear and anger of
the animal who was murdered have emotional impact on the flesh eater.
MEAT AND DISEASE
Mammal flesh causes heart attacks, strokes, aneurims, embolisms, kidney failure, food poisoning, Alzheimer's,
arthritis, several kinds of cancers. Vegans and fruitarians have the longest life expectancy. The National Geographic in Jan of 73 reported that the centenarian tribes in the world were vegetarian ones.
MEAT AND ALCOHOLISM
George Bernard Shaw had a special friendship with the Booths, founders of Salv Army. The SA had great success treating alcoholism through meatless diet. Alcohol is very yin and flesh very yang... a sort of biohemical
marriage of opposites attracting.

The uric acid or pre-urine in animals' muscle cells when they are murdered is trioxypurine, more
addictive than caffeine which is dioxypurine
MEAT AND WEIGHT
Dr Mervyn Hardinge in isocaloric studies gave nonvegetarians vegetarians and vegans the same # of daily calories. At the end of 3 months, the average nonvegetarian weighed 12 lbs more than a vegetarian and 23 more than a vegan. Dr Hardinge said that fruitarians were not in the study but weighed the least of the 4 groups.
MEAT AND THE BRAIN
The homocysteine in mammal, bird and fish flesh metabolizes into amyloid plaque which lines the cerebral and carotid arteries blocking blood flow to brain cells. In addition, animal fat clogs those arteries. Conversely,
winner of 2 Nobel prizes Dr Linus Pauling found that fruit mulecules speed the flow of thoughts across
the brain snynapes. Fruitarian DaVinci, vegetarians Einstein, Ramanujan, Tesla, Susan B Anthony, Dick Gregory
are examples of dietary aided brainpower.
MEAT B12 NOT AS PURE AS VEGAN B12
Vegans with more alkaline bodies make their own B12 in the form of hydroxylcobalamin while dairy vegetarians and animal eaters' B12 is cyanocobalamin.
MEAT AND IMMUNE DEFICIENCY
Just as the more lovers a person has sex with, the more likely that STD's occur because each person's
unique bacteria etc must be fought, so there are many more animals that nonvegetarians eat, each one
presenting unique bacteria which eventually exhaust the humane immune system.
MEAT AND WORLD HUNGER
Mammal flesh yields the least lbs per acre of any food.. 100 lbs in desert W Texas and 1000 lbs in most
fertile areas. Dr Faust, head of the Fruit Labs at USDA said he'd seen centenarian apple trees drop
2 tons each of apples.. perhaps 450,000 lbs per acre.
MEAT AND DEFORESTATION
Mammal flesh is the most deforesting. Cattle ranchers cut down trees for grazing animals who crush sapling trees. Fruit is the most reforesting, with fruit and nut trees, and berry bushes and vines for instance of
beans growing in the spaces among the trees.
MEAT AND WATER

MEAT AND ENERGY
How many kilowatts are needed for each lb of cowflesh? Animals are given veterinary care, food, water. Barns are cleaned, waste disposed of. Cows are murdered, their flesh frozen in trucks, warehouses, grocery stores, homes before heat is applied in cooking. An absurdly low estimate is 31.5 kilowatt hrs of energy.
MEAT AND ESTHETICS
Does the public want to live next to slaughterhouses, hearing the screams, smelling the waste, seeing
the streams fill up with urine, manure and blood, watching the demoralized men leaving at the end of the day,
often undocumented workers who think they have no other options. Or do people want to live next to silent
fragrant fruit groves, full of beautiful spring blossoms and fall gifts, orchards which help the world
enable bees.
