SEVEN SABBATHS

*

She liked to honor everyone's
Sabbath.. so on Friday through
Saturday she rested in respect
to Muslims and Jews..
on Saturday evening she
was inactive for Adventists..
on Sunday for post Constantine
Christians.. on Tuesday for
devotees of Ganesha.. on Thursday
for Hindus..
and her friends continued
to suggest she get work

FERRIS WHEEL
*
The ferris wheel
whirls up and down.
The merrygoround
twirls around.
Seaward streams
curl mostly down.
*
RIPPLING RIBBONS
*
While the river roves
seaward, her rippling ribbons
kiss the willows.
*
DOWN TO THE SEA
*
For the resurrecting sacred
humble waters, for sun
unobstructed by trees and
dwellings, go down to
the sea.
*
GREYHEADED DANDELION

*

Greyheaded dandelion
was as yet unblown
but soon wind helped
and seeds have flown
*
INDEMNIFIES
*
No matter who falsely indicts,
divine love indemnifies.
*
CONSTELLATIONS
*
Never tiring
consolation
twinkling evening stars
in their constellations
*
AZORES
*
Enthroned King Sun
they adore
in the azure sea'd
azure skied Azores
*
JANE EYRE'S VISION
*
Jane Eyre's vision
was of a cormorant
in a violent sea
perched on the mast
of a stormwrecked ship..
with a brright bracelet
in his beak

DOCK RAMP
*
With many killed trees, the
park built a fishing dock
with wheelchair access,
so that the handicapped
could permanently
handicap innocent fishes.

JOYFUL WRIGGLING
*
Someone left their 'bait'
living worms on the dock jiggling..
... they were carried
to the shore where
joyfully wriggling
they spiraled downward into
freedom
*
GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH
*
In that city, a major
fast food chain
had bought The Good Shepherd
church and bulldozed it.
Metaphors abound.

FRAGRANCE FRAUGHT
*
Flowers fragrance-fraught
make free perfume out of nought.
*
EATING AT HOME
*
They could not afford
the calories, the taxes which went
for execution and hunting promotion,
the price, the time, the
reheated food, unclean hands,
or the gas of eating out
*
BRAVE SPARROW
*
Brave little sparrow
look all ways
before you venture
into the busy
street for a crumb
*
GATHERING THE STREAM
*
When the calm
sea-focused stream
is shattered into
foam, spray and
rivulets by the rocks
of the rapids, it
will gather drops
and return to its goal
as when the form encasing
a soul
may be shattered in life's
shoals
it does regather
clothing in new matter.

The stars She plugs in
and raises the sun
.. the rainbow She unfurls
that mums may curl.

he was Godguarded and Godguided.

PURPLE BELL CENSERS

From their purple bell
censers,
lilacs spread to all

fragrant incense
in the chapels of Mother Earth.

BUTTERCUP OFFERING
*
Buttercups in daily
meadow mass offer
their chaliced dew
to the divine sun.
He drinks the ambrosia,
every drop.

ARBITERS OF ARTIFICE
*
The judicial arbiters
of artifice...
are being trumped
by the sound vibrations
of divine trumpets.

THE STARRY WAY
*
Oer the sea
the sun's dawn and
evening paths of light
The way of stars
the starry way
oer
the sea of night

ARBOR
*
In his paradise
pear and peach
persimmon and
pomegranate trees
*
FINGERLESS MAMMALS
*
It us behooves
to help those with hooves.
Many mammals have no fingers
for mucus which lingers.

ANGEL FALLS TWO
*
Angel Falls,
the world's highest
and one of its most
beautiful cascades.
May it remind me
that every angel who
has fallen
will in time rise in love.

WEARING A DISGUISE
*
God gave him a role
on earth..
as in a theater he wore
a disguise
but who could not
recognize
the lovepower in his eyes?

Seized by the jaws
of death
the frog realized
he had nothing to fear...
immediately transported
to a higher joyful sphere.

streets of San Francisco,
protected by her aura
and by angels.
