THE WIND'S LAUGHTER

*

The wind's laughter
lifts milkweed seeds aloft
and shakes the leafy shade.

*

A PREDAWN PEWTER SKY

*

Fringed, a predawn pewter sky
by a coral band of sunrise..
widens and sends forth shoots of light
until it is aureate bright...
This sunglow gathers in the vine aubergine
and in sweet strawberries amaranthine.
In the saffron mango
the sunlight does a tango
and gathers in billions
of plums vermilion
while growing green grapes
to orbs carnelian.
It becomes cerise in the cheery cherry
and obsidian in the tart raspberry.
Light as Love everywhere sends its chrism
into each unique polygonal prism.

GIVE THEM BACK TO THE SEA

Give back to their
descendant oysters
the pearls stolen
from their cloisters.

THE HORROR OF HERR HITLER

*

The horror of Herr Hitler in
Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland
and elsewhere murdered millions.
Millions of innocent civilians were also killed in
German cities by Churchill's
deliberate targeting of all
in Dresden, Berlin, Frankfurt,
Nuremberg, etc etc etc. Loanshark capitalist
nations England, France, the US sowed the seeds
of poverty and despair which Hitler could exploit through
their brutal reparations at the end of World War I, a war

between the illegal expansion aims of Germany and the British

empire.
Was Churchill the thorn needed to remove a thorn, Yet it was
the Russian people with 26.1 million deaths who
many times more than any other nation.. defeated
Hitler with their sacrifice.

The softly glowing moon throws her
white squid ink over the night sky
dimming the brilliance of the sparkling stars
as emotion obscures clarity.

ANTI-HOARDERS

*

Are the anti-hoarders as
bad as hoarders...calling in the gendarmes,
forcing compliance,
with their throwaway attitude
toward things of value, objects which could
be recycled, with their violations
of the consciousness and feelings

of their victims
and of matter itself.

Even those who work to rescue
some of the millions of homeless animals
are being called hoarders by those
who are quick to euthanize, (a euphemism

for murdering animals) and to extinguish
the light of God's love in animals' eyes.

BUTTERFLY FLAGS

Butterflies gently flap their flags
newly from cocoons unfurled,
flags not imprinted with any
parochial colors. but the hues
of all the world

PETER IN GETHSEMANE

*

There is more focus by some on Peter as a coward who denied Jesus

three times than on what he had done just a few hours earlier...

which was to risk his life taking up a sword against the Roman soldiers

who came to arrest Jesus in Gethsemane. It was then that Jesus told him

to put down his sword. Later Peter would ask to be crucified upside down,

not feeling worthy to be crucified in the same manner as Jesus was.

Tens of thousands besides Jesus crucified... Christians fed to lions...
slavery...gladiators killing each other for public amusement
emperors deifying themselves...a culture of hedonism..
animal sacrifice.. the eating of peacock tongues..

Was the Pax Romana

THE PALMS OF JESUS

On Sunday He rode into
Jerusalem on a donkey
and the people waved palms.
On Friday He was crowned with
thorns and crucified.
They nailed His wrists not
His palms.

He does not want us
in remembering Him
to defrond palms

Footnote:

Pierre Barbet was a French physician and coroner who examined the Shroud
of Turin, the shroud which covered Jesus in the tomb. He wrote a book
in French in the 1930's about his findings and those of others.

The title has been translated as A Doctor At Calvary or A Physician At The
Crucifixion.

Barbet wrote that nails were driven through Jesus' wrist rather than the
palms because the palms could not have held His body weight.

It was not a circular crown of thorns but a cap of thorns.

Jesus' scourging involved lead balls at the end of leather strips. The lead
balls not only broke the skin but went into the muscles.

Jesus' feet were not nailed separately but one on top of the other.

Historian Anne Perry has written that crusaders forcibly removed the Shroud from
an Orthodox church in Constantinople in 1204. They took the shroud to Italy.

The negatives of the photography of the
Shroud revealed things not in the pictures.

Flora from not only Turkey but Palestine
were present in the Shroud.

Jesus' eyes were covered with coins as
was the practice in some parts then.

His thumbs were pulled back by the severing of the median nerve when He was
nailed through the wrist.

Many through the years on investigation teams have abandoned atheism.

One had said that the fact that Tiberius' name was spelled Tiberias was an
indication of fraud, but it was later found that there was a minting of
Roman coins which had spelled Tiberius'
name incorrectly.

to God.
