ST ANTHONY PREACHED TO THE FISHES

St Anthony preached to the fishes
and earnestly they ever listened,
already by God's seawater christened.
In the morning sun their
silver scales glistened.
His hookless heart meant
them no harm.
His sermon was the music of love.

As the terrorized by

the firefighters
up ran.. as the fire roared,
always courageously
facing death....
not knowing that they

LINCOLN MEMORIAL

My father led us up the steps
of the Lincoln Memorial,
reverentially, as if entering
a sacred shrine.
He then began to read
the Gettysburg Address and the Second
Inaugural to
us as though they were two
scriptures.

He would later lose his Ivy League law school degree,
disbarred for having in the 1930's been the first
lawyer in his city to sue the police department
for the beating of black prisoners.

He ignited his loved ones with his

Re Purdue:

This incident was reported in the Diamondback, the college newspaper of the
University of Maryland, a university which accepted millions of dollars from
Frank Perdue and which in return began a rabbit flesh production course. Each
student, in 4H horror fashion, was required to raise his or her rabbit, and on
the final day kill and skin the creature. The course's final day was cancelled
when animal protectors in Maryland removed the rabbits from their Hansel and
Gretel cages.

The state of Maryland subsidizes chicken slaughter by paying for short line
railroads on the Eastern Shore, railroads used only by chicken slaughterhouse
owners and their suppliers.
