NEITHER PAPER NOR PLASTIC

 There is a high priced grocery store in our middle class neighborhood. The cost of the reusable bags the owners sell is beyond the ability of many, 4 times what the least expensive chain store charges..  The store chose to have no plastic bags, only deforesting paper ones which cause more climate change, habitat destruction, drought.

 If the owners had environmental consciousness they would stop selling animal flesh and sell the reusable bags at cost. 

DAILY NEWSPAPER

All newsprint whether
the chicken scratch of satanic hawks
or the peacespreading doves
is written with the green blood
of butchered trees..
and the red blood of smashed
squirrels and crushed baby birds

Nonviolent paper can be made from

leaves, corn husks, coconut shells,

manure, banana peels.
