Long ago we saw
a mangy dog with a telescoped
intestine.. so skeletal
that when she walked
she left bloody pawprints
and now
war's blueprints
have become
the bloodprints
of bombed civilians
and shot soldiers
WORK FOR PEACE IS AN OXYMORON
Is there
a frame for Infinity.
Never slakes the thirst
.. the bitter
saltwater near mother earth.
.. never satiated is the
belly of many tongued Fire
.. Never filled the soul
afflicted with unGodward desire.
Never at rest.. the
mercurial mind.
Only the heart immersed
in the waters of God
is at peace.
