dinner companion

pulled pieces of flesh
off of a chicken's severed
leg and shoved them
into his mouth.

SPARROW FLOCK

A flock of sparrows
instantaneously..
soundlessly...
not lined in any queue..
flew into a big bush
from all sides.. without
ruffling a single leaf...
each onto his or her

hidden from view.

MUTUAL SUN MOON

One of many very auspicious aspects for people in love is a mutual sun moon.

JOANNE WOODWARD AND PAUL NEWMAN

This amazing vegetarian couple and their daughter Nell and others have given over 100 million dollars to charity, a much higher percentage
of their assets than that of most philanthropists. One charity which Paul Newman did public
service spots for was Nature Conservancy.

That was before Henry Paulson, an executive with Goldman Sachs before becoming Secretary of the US Treasury (like other Goldman Sachs executives) bought his way into Nature Conservancy, became its president, and began turning NC's wilderness shrines into mixed use cattle ranches.

Most of the world know that raising animals for slaughter harms the people who eat them, the animals, and nature.  Please research environment groups before giving to them.

800,000 RESEARCH ANIMALS AT UNIV OF CALIFORNIA: SF

There are 800,000! research animals at the University of California, San Francisco.
Over 100 million dollars has been spent since 2000 on animal research there.
The University of California has been one of the prime movers in the criminalization of
speech by the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act pushed by Senator Dianne Feinstein
and her husband Richard Blum of URS, to whom she funneled over a billion in military contracts illegally.
He was chairman of the Board of Overseers of the University of California system, which from San Diego to UC Davis has tortured millions of animals. Feinstein worked with Senators Inhofe and Coburn of mammal butchering Oklahoma and with Senators Izakson and Chambliss of Georgia to push through the unconstitutional legislation.

SLAUGHTER TRAIN

The train full of slaughterhouse cars
rolls through states... the sheep are huddled
together sometimes bleating.. sometimes
silent. The cows and pigs press their noses
against the metal. In the winter they
freeze in mountain passes and treeless plains

as winds rip through. In the summer
they roast. Trains and more often trucks are often
involved in crashes in which the animals are crushed.

Federal regulations say downed
animals (not able to stand) can not be
butchered for human
mouths. These regulations
are often not enforced.
Many diseased animals
are put into pet food
or fed to other animals
slaughter-bound.

Many airlines
are refusing to ship primates
to laboratories for research.
It is time for trains, trucks
and planes to stop
transporting animals
for murderous slaughterhouses
or labs.
