A cruel frost

chopped the tomato

vine's fingers

and forced him

to let go of

some of his green

fruit..

but then the sun

came out .. and

stayed longer that

year than ever

before



daily the November

maple trees dropped

upon him

gold leaf merit

stars

but he cared not

for earthly awards

.. for they blocked

the light of the

Sunstar
