COUNCIL OF SQUIRRELS

After removing the nuts

from the streets

and decided how many

acorns

would go for baby

squirrels' winter food

and how many acorns

would as oaks be reborn

ALMOND THICKET

He placed no fence of pickets

round his growing almond thicket

He wanted to give as freely

as the sun and so he gave away almonds
with no purchased ticket

FEE NIX PHOENIX

When he forgave his debts

and his fees he did nix

his depression lifted

he became the Phoenix

for he knew

A cloud passes over the

sunny heart of God when

someone asks for money

for a spiritual service
