BEYOND THE GUILLOTINE



In revolutionary France

as a teen

for his family's wealth

he felt the guillotine.

used stealth

his wealth.

BULLDOG TAKES CHARGE



The man who was involved

in a perpetual power struggle

with the animal ordered

the bulldog to sit..

the dog looked at him

with resignation

and slowly lay down

with mournful eyes.

Snowballs from a child's fort thrown

add when they hit to the snowman's

throne

Hurled insults and peachpit stones

falling become high peach trees grown

.. watch it turn to gold at your feet



FORGER, COUNTERFEITER



To an art collector,

forgeries have no value.

Even so, a forger's paintbrush

can lift millions of spirits.



To a tax collector

counterfeits have no value.

Even so, a counterfeiter's

skill

can buy food for the hungry.

MARBLE FALLS



As the unelected Supreme Court

voted for death for yet

another innocent,

a piece of marble fell from

the ceiling in late November

of 2005. God will not long brook

further judicial murder.

A piece of mrable falls

.. a sculpture of a cataract

does not flow with love..

it is a marble falls.

Can God's Moses rods

strike water from these rocks?

MELTING ICEBERG



By appearances it seems

that above the water's surface

the iceberg is full of

castle turrets, sharp angles,

dangerous slides..

it gleams as an invincible

fortress in the sun..



but below the waterline

the melting is occurring..

its mass has in

made by a committee.. but a camel is an animal created by

God to adapt to deserts made by treekilling human beings
