WOUNDS ARE NOW WANDS

Whether widowers, widows, never wed

or wed,
windkissed we wend
along
the winding way.
What a wonder to see
His wounds.. and ours too!
have become
magic wands.
Wednesday never was
for woe.

APRIL RELEAF

Oh what a blessed relief!
to see April the trees re-leaf!
and a windbussed Noreaster
fragrant with Easter
melt away the last ice-lings
of grief.

INEVITABLE

Scars have turned
to stars
The cross has
become the crown.
The rejected stone
is in temple installed.
The metal resoldered
is stronger than the
original.
Wings have emerged
from cocoon.
The most sacred place..
is that in which foes have
reconciled.

AMAZING GRACE

The cloud which blocked
the reveling sun
became a rain of grace
and in the barren
winter tree
has raveled to green lace.
The stone cold foe has
revealed his soul
.. is now of hearts the ace
and out of the invisible
God
has given love
a face.
The world is now awash
with love
.. arinsed with rains
of light..
everywhere has been
cleared away
.. the illusory
pain of night

ARBOR AND HARBOR

Of every leaf's placement
in any arbor
God is the
First and Final Arbiter

Of every lapping wave
in each sacred harbor
His birds
are the harbingers.

BLUEBIRDS ON A BARREN TREE

Bluebirds sit
on the barren
black branches
of a winter tree..
but it is not
their gentle touch
which will resurrect
him with springing life
It is the God ever within himself.

BURSTING BRANCH

How has withered
winter ebony branch
become bursting wand
of bloomed blanche?
Though the kisses
of the sky's rain dance
and the wand of Sun's
most casual glance

Butterflies of purple
redbud
burst out of their tombs

BUTTERFLIGHT

Transubstantiate.. Metamorphose

Jesus miracles water into wine
Merciful rain turns
to grapes violet upon
the vine
communion wine into
Jesus' blood
as willow trees are
born of flood
as acorn becomes oak
and kernel the corn
and the love of a father
in forlorn child reborn
and the murdered innocent pig's
fat made candle becomes
sacred enkindling flame
The manure pile
becomes the pink rose
and moon's night
becomes sun's light
Crawling caterpillars
become butterflight
So does the Holy Spirit Dove
turn anger into Love
and make us One with
our God who is Love

CROSSROADS

We came to a crossroads sign
     and what did we see?
        All directions pointing
                 to his heart's infinity.

Half caterpillar
half butterfly
he feared to

leave the cocoon

Time passed.. he's
now ready
to come forth..
from the tomb

POISONED APPLE

By the abandoned
crystal casket
of Sleeping Beauty
are groves of trees
ignited by the
poisoned apple's seeds

And in the empty
Trojan Horse birds
are nesting

Through the tanks left

in Vietnam palm trees grow.

All evil eventually

becomes good.

JUDAS HAS EVOLVED

The world the silver moon
shattered into shards
in the shallows and
upon the seashore
has been gathered into
One
by the Resurrecting
Morning Sun!

BUILD INNS IN BETHLEHEM

When Joseph and Mary sought
a room in Bethlehem in which she could
give birth to Jesus, there
was 'no room in the inn'. And
so they gave birth to Jesus
in the sacred stable.

Now it is not that there is
no room in the inn for the pilgrims
to Bethlehem, but no inn at all.

STABLE OVER STEEPLE

Jesus preferred
stable
to steeple
To the hungry
he gave staples.
He clothed and
housed people.

The animals loved
Him..
they were not coming
to show off their clothes
.. to act as human sheep
following 1 male pastor

In alignment with
God all power has
been given to each of us.

We can soak up
the swamp water of
unforgiveness ..
God has given
us the wand
of the Cattails

We are all embodiments

of peace

TURN THE OTHER CHEEK?

Ignoring is the best
way to distinguish
undesirable behavior
.. said a vivisector who

inflicted pain on animals

to discover what was apparent

to many.

Jesus has said
to turn the other
cheek

the ocean has for
the most part
obeyed this command

she did rarely when slapped

respond

but a pond does with
a splash respond

Sine nomine
with no signature
does the apple tree
give away all her fruit..
only a unique constellation
of seeds her seal

NOAH'S ARK TWO

His heart
is a Noah's Ark
containing
all beings
its loving
to all others arcs

THEY DIVIDED HER LOTS AMONGST THEM

they divided Joseph's coat amongst the brothers
they divided Jesus' clothes amognst the soldiers
they fought over Bessie's injured body
as they planned to divide the garment of her body

BOAT OF SPIRIT

The woman felt that the male
hierarchy of her church
was an irrelevant boat
which on the sea of Spirit did float

MARTHA AND MARY

Said Martha.. who will
eat if no one prepares
food.. as you sit
at His feet

Mary replied..
they will eat..
of joy

THE GOD OF THE MOST REVILED

Jesus loves the rejected.. the 11th hour worker,
the hundredth lamb...the prodigal son.. the man waiting
at the pool of Bethesda... the woman at the well..
the woman being stoned...the blind, the lame..
the leper... the demon possessed.... the condemned thieves
.. those in hell (a temporary hell to which He has keys)

the more afflicted the greater His love

Thank You God for helping all sentient beings with miracles

of healing, supply, protection, joy, knowledge and love of You now.

SAINT NICHOLAS

The sun does not shine on some and not others
Saint Nicholas does not give presents to some children
and not others.
God does not love some and not others
When I remove the blocks to my perception, (such as

a mind addicted to variety) I return the love.

PALMS

The palms of Palm Sunday had become
in four days..
the thorns, the scourges,the nails..

May no sentient trees be harmed

so that their torn off fronds

are distributed on Palm Sunday

When harmed for Him.

FRUIT OF THE VINE

Genesis One Twenty Nine
is God's design
that we eat fruit of the
tree
and the plant and the vine.

HEALING STRIPES

Oh God as we see
the healing stripes
of Christ
.. who suffered
to lift us all

as we see the healing
stripes
of dawn's ribbons..
parallel to the horizon

we pray that You will
turn our flag's
stripes into
healing stripes

for any flag can move
in the wind
but only the flags of
holy peaceful countries move
in the Winds of Spirit

summon

Each row after row and row

He did hoe and hoe and hoe
  and hacked the weeds

which God did grow
.. and shot at deer and crows
And he harvested ten thousand
pounds ..

The other did nothing
but watch his orchard grow
and harvested 450,000 lbs.
as light through trees did flow.
