SHIVA SHOVES NOT
Shiva's light
shoves not the night
but with silent steps so slight
fills it with GODLove's delight
and each moment weaves
more fabric in corn sheaves
SARI'D RAYS
Dawn rays, each uniquely sari'd uniquely await the darshan of the Avatar sun...
ONLY LOVE
Darkness cannot conquer
night.
Only light can win oer night.
Cold can not remove
the freezing.
Only warmth can melt the ice.
Hatred cannot demons beat.
Only love can win their hearts.
(based on Sai Baba's teachings
that Balaram fought a demon
all night and brought him to
a standstill.. but Krishna
disarmed the demon with 1 smile)
MASTER'S LAKE EFFECT
It is called a lake
effect
when stable images
reflected in a
lake start
quivering
as when
round the master
we are assembling
and find ourselves
silent or crying
or trembling
FULL MOON SEA
The ocean does rise
in waves of ecstasy
to meet the full moon
pouring light oer the sea
The glow of Poornachandra
calls forth seacore: Poornananda
It is maya to think
her light subsides..
when the water withdraws
after fullmoon tides..
In space beyond earth
the moonswan slides
.. shedding light
as she glides
Dimmest on earth
is her cool moonlight
when garbed in white
she as bride unites
with the SunSwan
she has sought
His Spiritfeathers
shrouding..

NANDA ANANDA
There is a Nanda
within Ananda
... the bull of will
which leads to joy.
When bullfighting
and bull slaughter
are everywhere banned
will come ananda
to every nanda.

is the brightest stara
in the nightfoiled tiara
of the Avatara.

ephemeral is the rule of night.
STAR OF INDIA
The Star of India is within you..
said Yogananda to poster in meditation.
Is it the jewel of the third eye?
Is it the cluster of compassion's rubies in the heart?
Is it the Holy Grail out of which overflowing Love spills?
(The Star of India is one of the many crown jewels
not yet returned to its original owner India from
the British crown. Yet the Avatar can materialize infinite
jewels more beautiful and perfect than any yet seen.)
BLOOMING SAHASRAR
He had an appointment
with Death in Samarra
but because he had a
quickened Sahasrara
it was joyful to cross
the Sea of Samsara...
he was not a tiny samara
destined for struggle
in the dry Sahara.

CURSE OF PARIKCHIT
Perhaps if Parikchit had
not been hunting stags
there would have been no
negative karma on which
the Brahmin boy's curse
could have stuck.
EGGSHELL OF STAR PATTERN
After innumerable lives,
the eggshell of the star pattern
cracks open,
and a soul is born
into selfmastery."

hill, turning it into an umbrella
for His devotees.
Lord Hari did cleave the Red Sea.
Ganesha's trunk has lifted God's
disciples above their troubles.
Somasvara, Shiva Lord of the Moon
has lit people's paths in the night.
There is nothing that Iswar, the genie
living in your Aladdin's lantern heart,
will not do for you. Only the time
factor is unknown.
CHARIOTEER
The satchitananda
and the everpouring cheer
of Krishna
the Eternal Charioteer
will with ananda sun's rays
wipe away your tears.
THE STAR OF THE THIRD EYE
Installed in the body's shrine
the third eye does shine.
It is an ever glowing star
tabernacle'd in the body's altar
BABA BLOWS BUBBLES
While bees are bibbing
from blooms of buttercup,
stones in the babbling brook
help Baba blow bubbles for babies'
delight.
SOMEWHERE IT DROPS FROM A TREE
OR BUSH OR VINE OR PLANT FOR YOU
Baba has designed icecreams
made of sweet mango and coconut milk.
He has created pecan pies sweetened
by date sugar.
He has caused lima beans and gold corn
and jade green peas
to combine
into succotash
after falling from the vine.
ANANDA MAYEE MA
Glory to you, Divine Mother,
who has done obeisances to
cockroaches to teach
us the divinity in all
ALLGIVING DATE PALM
The allgiving date palm
the all bequeathing coconut
palm
are infinitesimal in comparison with
Baba's infinite allmaterializing palms

RAJASIC WAND
rajasic anger can be
a magic wand sparking the depressed
out of tamas.

More quickly than the incoming
tide stretched his loving

into Himself.
AHIMSA AND KALI SPEAK
Kali to Ahimsa: You want to preserve
all form. I work to liberate
all beings from their prison cages of
form.
Ahimsa: I also want the liberation of
all beings, but when souls leave their
bodies in violence, they are often
trapped and earthbound by the horror.
The key which turns the lock to the
cage must be peaceful, nonviolent.
FEET OF THE BUDDHA
The Buddha's feet
are hidden in meditation
but the feet of the Avatar
are ever available.

Is there an aleurophobe
in the house?
In a previous life he
may have been a mouse

Many are born of
a mother's heart stars
.. some are born
of guru's muladhar
AVATAR'S HEALING
Baba says slow healing
is best.
It is better for the icicle
to drip slowly than to crash
down from several stories up.
It is better for snow to
melt slowly than to cause
floods with too great a flow.
(Baba: I heal one third immediately..
one third slowly which is best
and one third not yet for their
hearts have not yet learned the
lessons of their suffering.)
RAJASIC RED PEPPERS
As the sun turns the tamasic
seed into rajasic red peppers
and fruits the green plant
with sattvic purple grapes
so the Avatar's shakti
activates 1 soul and gives
infinite peace to another.
MEERA KALI
Wherever are Meera or Kali
there are Meeracles
AS MOTHER LOOKS ON HER TODDLER'S FALL
Baba looks on error
as a mother looks on a toddler's fall*
.. or on her 4 year old child's making mudballs
or like the sun which
gazes upon sour fruit soon to be sweet*
.. or upon a blow which releases
water from ice freezes

DROUPADI'S ROBES
He no longer wanted to be
Duryodhana attempting to
disrobe Mother Earth by
shreeding her green garment,
her jade sari. And so he
sent his mower to a metal
recycler
ALL HUES ARE HOLY
None judge the rainbow arch because it is not blazing white light
yet we judge each other that our chakra colors are rainbow patterns
rather than the blazing white light
which they will someday be
LILIES OF THE VALLEY
The green leaves arch over the
little bells of
lilies of the valley
as a backdrop foils
the deity of Hari
Yet the leaf is as valuable
as the flower
and longerlasting.
THE WINGS OF GARUDA
Above the whirlwind
Beyond the whirlpool
The wings of Garuda
are slowly wheeling
then whirling
and in takeoff whirring
PRAYER TO THE AVATAR
A prayer to the Avatar
is a wish upon a star
.. a wish which will come true
for the star is within you.
