ALMOND BLOSSOM

The sun from tree and berry bush looms
has spun almond, orange and raspberry blooms.
The tireless bees have made their honey
from meadows groves and orchards sunny
... bees' own labor.. left to them
not stolen and sold for illgotten money

bees are often crushed as racks are slid
in and out. Some humans destroy the
whole hive finding it cheaper not to
give the bees their own food during the winter.
Some humans clip the wings of the queen
bees so that they cannot move their hives

(Raspberry, clover, orange blossom,
almond blossom and myriad other plants
create their own special nectar for the bees.)

SACRED HEARTS

27 million deaths
