DAWN CUE

As the birds and bees
and bears.. sit in nature's
pews..
they watch the skies' light shows
respond to dawn sun's cues

BIRD MURDER

Into the sky they flew
.. ancient script on pink parchment..
harming none..
moving south.. their wings gliding
more perfectly than any oar..
they soared the firmament in freedom..

.. one by one they were shot down
.. some flapping helplessly as they
plummeted.. shot
by those jealous of their
joy
